Sara & Ali celebrated their marriage on the 14th July 2010. As I arrived at Sara’s house it was thunder and lightning and absolutely tippling down with rain! Sara was looking absolutely gorgeous so taking beautiful portraits of her inside wasn’t a problem at all! We set off for Kenwood Hall and who would have thought the sun came out so we were able to take advantage of the lovely gardens for some relaxed portraits of the happy pair. Then onto the Kenwood Suite where they were welcomed in by their waiting friends and family applauding and throwing confetti. The room looked amazing adorned with beautiful flowers and a twinkling backdrop on the stage. The evening involved lots of dancing, smiling and laughter, with the belly dancer adding to all the fun!! There was a brilliant atmosphere – I absolutely loved it! Sara & Ali you make a beautiful couple, all the best for the future.

Nicola & Craig’s big day was on the gloriously sunny 10th July 2010. Nicola looked stunning in her customized Blushes wedding dress, with gems dazzling all down the back of the dress. The wedding ceremony was at Sheffield Town Hall, after the service we headed out into the sun, where the happy couple were drowned with lots of confetti! We then took some group photographs in the Peace Gardens. Then onto Bramhall Lane the home of Sheffield United and another love of the couple’s. The room looked amazing with balloons, centre pieces and lots of little added extras making everything extra special. We had fun taking some pics pitch-side and Craig got to practice his management skills by the dugout! My time at the wedding ended with the lovely first dance and an amazing balloon explosion on the dance floor – great stuff!

Jennifer & Ben got married on the 9th July 2010. The wedding ceremony took place at Ranmore St John’s Church in Sheffield. A magnificent building with a steep spiral staircase which I risked life and limb to get a good photograph from during the service- it was definitely worth it! The wedding reception was at Whirlowbrook Hall where the gardens were in full bloom and looked glorious for the photographs. I loved the whole feel of this wedding and the gorgeous yellow colour theme running throughout. The bridesmaids dresses were my favourites of the year so far, stunning. Another lovely wedding with a another very lovely couple, many congratulations.

Tom & Victoria celebrated their wedding day on the 3rd July 2010. This was a lovely wedding that I really enjoyed photographing. Tom had supplied me with a long photographic list – I hope I’ve captured all the lovely little details you requested! The wedding was at St Michael the Archangel Church in the beautiful village of Hathersage – which was also celebrating a village fete that day – nice of them to put the bunting out for Tom & Toria Transport for the day was quirky from the off with Victoria walking to the church from her house nearby. Following the service the guests travelled in style on a vintage bus – while me and the bride and groom headed off to Surprise View which over-looks Hathersage to get some more photographs. After this the bride and groom thumbed a lift off their passing vintage bus to head to the reception which was at Kenwood Hall, one of my favourite wedding venues. The celebrating continued with string quartets, a great first dance and lots of other lovely notes along the way making a fabulous wedding.

James & Julie’s wedding on the 26th June 2010 was a relaxed, fun day with lots of emotion added throughout the day making this a lovely wedding to photograph. From the personal vows made during the wedding ceremony at The Beauchief Hotel, Sheffield, to the Brides humorous speech & all the smiles and laughter along the way made this a fabulous wedding! Congrats to Mr & Mrs Guihen!

Michelle & Neil celebrated their wedding day on the 19th June 2010. The wedding took place at All Saints Church in Aston, with the lovely venue of Aston Hall nearby and the marquee set up and looking stunning. A great day was had by all with lots of fun along the way including bouncy castles which not only the kids enjoyed! I had a great day and captured lots of lovely pics of the pair of you – thanks again for getting in that bath Michelle!!

I was really looking forward to the wedding of Grace & Will on the 24th April as this was my first wedding at Cavendish Hall part of the Chatsworth House Estate. I had done lots of research and discovered a little track winding  through the hills towards Chatsworth with stunning views – thanks for joining me on the stroll on the day, it made beautiful photographs. The whole day was relaxed and fun with some quirky notes added to the day, like the bride and groom driving themselves from Tideswell United Reformed Church over to Cavendish Hall, in a very cool Figaro car no less! Will and Grace, wishing you lots of future happiness.

Anne and Andrew got married on what must have been the sunniest day of the year so far, the 17th April 2010. Anne wore a stunning Essence dress (the same make as my wedding dress so of course a personal fave of mine!) They got married at St John the Baptist Church, a gorgeous old stone church in Dronfield. The wedding reception was at Mosborough Hall where friends and family were laughing and smiling all day long… lots of dancing and Tim Tam trials went on throughout the evening! Many best wishes to Mr and Mrs Hides.

Kay and Russ got married on a lovely sunny day – the 10th April 2010. Kay looked absolutely gorgeous in her Blissful Daze gown. A lovely wedding service was carried out at Holy Trinity Church in Millhouses. The celebrations continued at Whirlowbrook Hall, a great venue set in stunning grounds. The guests were entertained by the fabulous Andy Taylor the magician. After the wedding breakfast and speeches Russ continued to entertain with some interesting moves on the dance floor!

Naila & Kamran’s wedding was on the 2nd April 2010. What a gorgeous wedding this was on all counts, I absolutely loved it! Naila looked stunning in her Emily Bridalwear gown and was a dream to photograph. Their chosen venue was Kenwood Hall in Sheffield, a favourite venue of mine, being spoilt for choice with spots for photographs both inside and out. We were lucky to have a dry spell to venture around the lovely gardens, but couldn’t help but use the indoor spaces aswell. The happy couple travelled in style to the Park Hotel Sheffield where the partying continued. Thanks to everybody for making me feel so welcome, including making me be in a group shot and feeding me very good food!!

Vicki & Pete got married on the 19th March 2010. The wedding was at Sheffield Town Hall so we were able to use the beautiful Peace Gardens for some group shots after the service. Then onto Sheffield Wednesday – a love shared by both Vicki and Pete, but not all of the guests! We got some lovely shots of them sitting in their usual match day seats. The evening was a big party with lots of fun, laughter and amazement thanks to Andy Taylor the magician – some really really impressive tricks up his sleeves! Congrats to you both, you make a lovely couple.

I photographed the beautiful wedding of Leanne at Graham at the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield on the 6th March 2010. This is quickly becoming a favourite venue for me. I love the way in which all the gorgeous foliage in the pavilion frames the couple with the guests mingled amongst it creating a lovely laid-back atmosphere. Everybody looked stunning and the cold was not going to stop us from venturing down the pathway for some lovely photographs! Here is a storyboard of some of the lovely moments throughout the day.

3/10/2010 – Kenwood Hall, Sheffield

These were taken last weekend at Mosborough Hall – a stunning venue in Sheffield. I am very excited for the wedding of Anne and Andrew, I’m sure it’s going to be lots of fun!

These were from Kirsty and Jonathan’s wedding in May last year at the absolutely gorgeous East Lodge in Derbyshire. I think Kirsty looks fantastic in these bridal preparation shots.

The next pages come from a wedding I did in August for the lovely couple Liz and Liam. I absolutely LOVE these pictures taken in the honeymoon Suite in the Maynard. The sepia toned images make the setting really romantic…

and here is evidence of lots of fun and laughter during the speeches!

And finally these were taken on a gorgeous sunny day in September for Alison an Gareth. Their wedding reception was at St Paul’s Mercure Hotel in Sheffield city centre so we had the opportunity to use both the Winter Gardens and the Peace Gardens for photography.

I love the contrast between the white light of the day and the muted dark of the night with the wheel and Town Hall just peaking out in the background.

Rebecca & Justin got married in a beautiful church in Sprotbrough on the 17th October. After lots of confetti throwing at the church the happy couple headed off in their vintage car to the Rogerthorpe Manor in Pontefract. Group photographs were taken in the lovely grounds, with lots of laughter along the way – Rebecca I will never forget you being lifted by the groomsmen!

Christine & Chris got married at Slaley Hall in Northumberland on the 2nd October. With the men in kilts, Christine added her own touch of tartan to her outfit, with a personalized garter and even tartan shoes – amazing! All the little details really added to the day and the stunning backdrop of the hall and its gardens made for lovely photographs (and a ride for the bride and groom in a golf buggy!).

Mary & Richard got married at St Francis of Assisi on the 26th September with friends and family travelling from far and wide. The celebrations continued in the sunshine at the gorgeous Whitley Hall. A beautiful blue and orange colour scheme ran throughout the whole day. The theme for the wedding breakfast focused on Mary and Richard’s passion for travel with great attention to detail paid to the favours and floral decorations on each table. The evening started with a very memorable first dance!! Many congrats to you both for the future.

Philip and Tracey got married at the stunning Ettington Park near Stratford-Upon-Avon on the 25th September. Famous for the setting of the cult horror ‘The Haunting’ and with many ghost stories circulating around the guests, I was half expecting ghostly beings in my images, fortunately there weren’t any! Instead, the beautiful autumn colours shone through and the orange tones that the couple had chosen for their colour scheme tied in perfectly.

Alison & Gareth got married on the 12th September at St James Church in Norton. What a lovely sunny day it was! The happy couple along with family and friends headed to St Pauls Hotel in Sheffield city centre where the celebrating continued. A great day for everybody, hope you both had a fab honeymoon!

Chris & Gemma got married on the 4th September at the Town Hall in Sheffield. A beautiful service started with an acoustic guitar intro as Gemma and her father entered the room. After the service, friends and family flocked to the peace gardens where we managed to get a few wind-swept shots before retreating to warmer climates in the lovely winter gardens. You both looked great on the day and very happy! I hope the rest of the day was as enjoyable.

Anna & Will got married on the 22nd August at the beautiful Whitley Hall in Sheffield. Friends and family were able to enjoy the lovely gardens with the sun shining all day long. A fab day for all! I wish you lots of happiness as Mr and Mrs Smith!

Hayley and Liam celebrated their wedding on the 21st August at the Ringwood Hall in Chesterfield. After the threat of rain early on in the day the sun came out and we were able to capture some beautiful images in the stunning grounds. Everybody had a fab day and I’m sure the party continued well after I left!

The 7th August was the special day for Liz and Liam marrying at Dore Church and then celebrating with family and friends at the beautiful Maynard in Grindleford. I really enjoyed photographing your wedding day and capturing all those special little moments. Wishing you both lots of happiness as a married couple.

Joanne and Boosh celebrated their wedding in style on the 11th July with their 300 guests! Bramall Lane, home to Sheffield United was the venue for the day, their red and white theme tying in brilliantly. Wishing you lots of future success and happiness for your marriage and of course the blades!!

The beautiful Whirlowbrook Hall in Sheffield was the setting for the marriage of Emma & Glen on the 27th June 2009. With the duck pond, gorgeous flower gardens and the Hall itself we were spoilt for choice with locations for photography! I was very impressed with all the little details that had gone into making everything so perfect, and I wish you lots of happiness together.

Rebecca and Daniel celebrated their wedding day at the gorgeous Wood Hall in Wetherby on the 26th June 2009. You both make a beautiful couple and were a pleasure to photograph! The storyboard of the day picks up on the beautiful pink roses that were the colour theme for the wedding day.

A fabulous day was had by all celebrating the wedding of Kimberley and Roberto at Fischers Baslow Hall on the 6th June 2009. Luckily it stopped raining and we were able to get some beautiful photographs in the stunning grounds. Thanks to all your family and friends for making me feel so welcome!

It was a pleasure photographing Kirsty and Jonathan on the 9th May at St Peter’s Church Edensor and then at the beautiful East Lodge in Rowsley, Derbyshire. Everybody had a fab day and may I say what a very photogenic couple you both made – Congratulations!!
