Lisa & Jason’s big day was the 17th July 2010. The wedding took place at the lovely venue of The Rutland Hotel in Broomhill, Sheffield. Everything looked absolutely perfect on the day, and the colour scheme of green with pink notes in the flowers looked fabulous. Everybody had a great day especially the kids and all those games on the lawns! Congratulations to you both!!

3/10/2010 – Kenwood Hall, Sheffield
I had a lovely morning yesterday photographing 9 month old Aneisha Rae. She was full of smiles and giggles and I had my work cut out chasing this energetic little one around. What a cutie, capturing loads of great shots was easy and an absolute pleasure!
The title of these may sound a bit dramatic and daunting! but really these are a great opportunity for me to get together with my future brides and grooms and take some casual shots in a relaxed environment. We get to scope out your wedding venue for the perfect spots on the big day, and it gives you chance to get used to being photographed by me. You also get to pick your fave image from the session to keep or even use on the wedding day for guests to write their wedding messages around.
These were taken last weekend at Mosborough Hall – a stunning venue in Sheffield. I am very excited for the wedding of Anne and Andrew, I’m sure it’s going to be lots of fun!
Most people I meet nowadays have a facebook page and find it useful and fun for keeping up-to-date with friends and sharing images. At this time of year I am getting really excited about the many weddings I will be photographing throughout the year, I am also looking back on all the beautiful weddings and moments I captured in 2009. I thought I would share some of my personal favourite wedding album pages from some of the weddings I photographed and pages I designed…..
These were from Kirsty and Jonathan’s wedding in May last year at the absolutely gorgeous East Lodge in Derbyshire. I think Kirsty looks fantastic in these bridal preparation shots.

The next pages come from a wedding I did in August for the lovely couple Liz and Liam. I absolutely LOVE these pictures taken in the honeymoon Suite in the Maynard. The sepia toned images make the setting really romantic…
and here is evidence of lots of fun and laughter during the speeches!
And finally these were taken on a gorgeous sunny day in September for Alison an Gareth. Their wedding reception was at St Paul’s Mercure Hotel in Sheffield city centre so we had the opportunity to use both the Winter Gardens and the Peace Gardens for photography.
I love the contrast between the white light of the day and the muted dark of the night with the wheel and Town Hall just peaking out in the background.
I love a winter wedding with a light frosting of snow on the grass, and this was exactly how it was on the 27th of December when Tecwyn and Caroline got married at the beautiful Botanical Gardens in Sheffield. Despite the weather Caroline and Tecwyn braved the cold for some photographs outside. The celebrations continued afterwards at Loch Fyne, I hope you all had a fabulous time.

I have had the pleasure of photographing some beautiful babies recently. After a quick nap – all models need their rest! Samuel donned his new Christmas outfit and also his festive Father Christmas suit – Sam you wear it well!
Baby Jessica was full of smiles and giggles for me, and enjoyed Mummy reading her The Very Hungry Caterpillar!
Gomez returned to Sheffield Plug on the 24th November after originally forming back in the ’90’s whilst studying at Sheffield University. New material mixed with some old classics went down well with the Sheffield crowd. Support came from Frightened Rabbit a scottish indie rock band from Selkirk.

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing William, a beautiful old greyhound. Matt and Clare who I photographed their wedding for last year invited me round to take some portraits of William. He really enjoyed the shoot, with ham treats being readily dished out! Feeling festive William even donned his christmas scarf for some of the shots. William I think you look rather noble in these shots
